Aspiring Athletes is very proud to be the first and only organization in the Cleveland/Akron area to utilize the internet to market their players!

College Coaches will be invited to view the footage on this site throughout the year when looking for local talent in our organizations.  We leave no stone unturned, and make the recruitment of our club travel players very simple and accesible.  College coaches will be able to view our player's talent right from their office or home.  Proving yet again that we do not solely rely on a league, tournament or showcase to give our players exposure.

We will be updating player's profiles with vital information such as: High School schedules, ACT/SAT scores, summer schedules as well as various achievements throughout the year.  Aspiring Athletes prides itself on having the most innovative program around.  We continue to strive to provide the service our clients want in order to offer them more than the competition.

All players involved our program graduating in 2009, 2010, and 2011 will be listed in this database.  Lastly, all these players have been put through our own private college placement combine where players were evaluated by Major League scouts, Div I coaches, and Div II coaches in October of 2008.  The results of this combine will be available by emailing President DJ Santiago at dj.santiago@aspiringathletes.org.

This info has all necessary information pertaining to foot speed, arm strength and bat speed. Please stay tuned to this page for updates and more news on our college prospects!

Shane Smith thanks the Ohio Orioles for his success Use SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
"I just finished up tryouts for the club baseball team down here and I thought I'd let you know I made the team.  I'd like to thank you and DJ and the rest of the Ohio Orioles staff for all the help and coaching and advice the past two years.  I feel that everything I accomplished as an Oriole has made me a better baseball player and person.  The skills I learned from the organization definitely aided me in making the team club team at Ohio University."

John Stephenson and Will McEwan of the Orioles 16U White receive recognition for their excellence in baseball!Use SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
John Stephenson made first team ECOL (East Central Ohio League) and Eastern District (Division I-II combined)  Will McEwan made second team ECOL and Honorable Mention Eastern District.  Both are 10th graders from New Philadelphia playing on 16-U White Orioles team.  Normally Canton, Akron and Cleveland papers do not generally pick up anything on this district or conference, so this is a huge deal!  Please see the attached articles for full details!
John Kovalik, Alex Kovalik, and Nick Phillips stand out in their High School seasons at Aurora!!Use SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
John Kovalik was selected Aurora High School Baseball Player of the Week following his pitching performance against the Chagrin Falls JV squad on April 14th.  John threw a complete game allowing only one run on two hits and striking out fourteen Chagrin batters in a tense 2 - 1 Aurora victory.

So far this season in JV action, John has pitched a total of 18 innings giving up only three runs on four hits and has 31 strike-outs.  In addition to pitching, John plays shortstop and bats near the top of the order.  His batting average is currently around .450.

On Saturday John made his first varsity pitching appearance against Cleveland Heights.  In two innings he gave up a run on 3 hits, but also had four strike-outs.  Aurora won the game 11 - 3.  Heights had a 10 - 2 record prior to this weekend, but Aurora swept them in both ends of a double-header.  John must have made a good impression on the Aurora coaching staff, because he is scheduled to start the varsity game this Friday against Ravenna.

Earlier this season, Nick Phillips was also selected as Player of the Week while on the Aurora JV squad.  Nick has since moved up from JV to varsity when one of the varsity outfielders went out with an injury.  He has become their regular left fielder and continues to hit well.

...I want to start by stating that is refreshing to be part of such a fine product.

From the pre-season training to the follow ups and finally the team.  He was ready to go when the high school season started and had a very good freshman year.  It was clearly due to your the pre-season training that got him ready.  He was able to play JV and compete at a very high level.

As for our summer team, Coach Spatz is an amazing guy.  He handles the team well, outlines his strategies and why he has them.  Stays true to a course, runs the team very well.  It is finally nice to be part of such a great product.  Thank you for providing it to us.  It is often in this arena, that product is put out there that does not live up to the hype.  I would recommend your program to anyone whom asked.  Again, Thanks!
